Becki Yates takes to the stage for Bedford's biggest event!
Bedford’s biggest and most popular tourist event has just taken place over the weekend spreading across two days, the 14th-15th of July. The Bedford River Festival occurs once every two years and has seen record-breaking numbers in the past with this year included, welcoming around 300,000 people. This year celebrating the 40th anniversary of the event it was no surprise to see people flocking to the embankment and Russell park to indulge in festivities including river races, food, family fun, the parade and of course the music.
Four music stages played host to talented performers over the weekend entertaining and gracing the crowds of thousands, and Becki Yates was one of them. From 6th Floor Recordz, Becki was one of Bedford’s local talents who took to the community stage on Saturday.
After preparing and warming up her vocals backstage, Becki performed in front of thousands showing off her amazing vocals to the visitors of Bedford. Becki’s twenty five minute set comprised of both her own music and covers including an acoustic set with two talented friends joining her on stage playing the guitar and a Cajon, which was a new instrument introduced to many watching.
Becki performed exceptionally on stage keeping the audience entertained with her banter and amazing vocals. Receiving a roar of applause as she left the stage it is without a doubt Becki didn’t disappoint, and with her team and family and friends supporting from the crowd they were incredibly proud of her and look forward to the next time she hits the stage as this rising star gets bigger and better.
